Lola’s Paleo Diet: This diet is inspired by lots of different diets I’ve been on in the past. There’s a few things in here that strict Paleo’s might not agree with like the use of organic ancient seeds (quinoa and buckwheat) and a little organic dairy here and there. Raw foodies and vegans aren’t going to love the meat, but I bet they’ll love some of the ripper salads and vegan dips I’ve come up with! The important point I want to make is that you should listen to your body and listen to your taste-buds. There should be slight variations in everyones diet depending on what works for you. The most important thing, however, is to enjoy this process of discovering new flavours and loving good food!

Paleo & My Weightloss Story:

Paleo or caveman eating is a pretty hot topic right now. It’s copping a truckload of positive and negative feedback. And to be completely honest with you I wasn’t a huge believer until I really gave it a crack.
I went hardcore paleo for 10 weeks and lost 20kg. Had loads more energy, my skin glows now, I don’t crave sugars or sweet things, I’m stronger both physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually I have grown. I am not attributing all of these changes to paleo alone – but I can promise you that paleo has had lots to do with it, and if hasn’t being a direct cause, well it’s been a catalyst.

A Palaeolithic diet is based on the idea that we are eating foods that our bodies were designed for through thousands of years of evolution. It’s often referred to as the “caveman” or the “hunter gatherer” diet. And it literally means that, people would eat what they could hunt or gather; think meats, fish, poultry, eggs, raw nuts, raw or soaked seeds, fruits and veggies. This was all before the creations of machinery, which made things like grains, dairy, legumes, and processed foods available for human consumption. Put simply, the body thrives off natural, whole foods and the paleo diet is exactly that.
